The night sky overhead
The chill to the air
I move:
To feel something
To punish myself
I feel the loneliness
I embrace it
Make friends with it
Because I fear it is all that I will ever have
To cry through movement
To scream with the staccato
To forgive myself with the curves
Fearing that my own touch will be all that I have to comfort me
So I let the night air embrace me
And the music audibly exclaim my emotions
While I hold them all in
For fear that if I let it out
That it would be etched in stone.
Unbroken.
