Since visiting Ireland last year, I’ve told myself that I only need to look for the green to be reminded of the peace I found there. After the rains yesterday, I made a point to go out this morning and find my little patches of Ireland. What makes this even better is that there is an artist that has started putting up little fairy doors around the neighborhood.
Being quarantined and limiting travel overall, these little bits of my time abroad give me bursts of joy whenever I come upon a fairy door. With the morning dew drops and wet soil accenting the green patches of land – I am transported to the place that gave me a sense of ease, and a reminder that I only need these little things to help me feel a bit more whole during a time where we have to isolate ourselves for the greater good.
