Whenever a false roadblock appears
To slow our fast footfalls
Fear encroaching upon the laughter
I worry
I worry
That the roadblock will grow
That the laughter will diminish
Simply fearing that what is will fade
And so it fades
Not because it would have naturally
But because what is, is simply overwhelming
Almost unfathomable
Stepping in front of our own happiness
Is this what you want?
If so, why do you hold up your hand?
I don’t see myself tiring of you any time soon.
Is it out of fear that I will hurt you?
Let me wipe away your fear
Looking into your eyes
Kissing your lips
I like you so much.
